Default Spektrum trainer cord?

hello.
im going to use my Dx18 1gen and my old dx7s to fly trainer with a friend. i will use dx18 as a master and the dx7s as a slave, i just plug in the trainer cord to the dx7s and it says "slave" and its working but do i need to get the travel and sub trims the same on both radios?

Thanks

If the model in the DX18 is set for Programmable Master mode, then yes, all model settings would need to be copied onto the DX7s. In other words, the DX7s would need to have the correct setup for flying the plane on its own.

If the model in the DX18 is set for Pilot Link Master mode, then the DX18 would control all of the model settings and the DX7s would be just a set of sticks. I believe the DX18 will even apply trim in this configuration.

To test it, you could give the student control from the DX18 and then watch the Monitor screen. You'll see right there if any channels change their values just by virtue of changing the mode from Master to Student.

Thanks for the reply.

I have set the DX18 to pilot Link master and on the Dx7s to slave. When i have pluged in the trainer Cord and Hold the trainer button and i see on the monitor on the dx18 that values are changing? So do i need to set all values on the Dx7s Correctly? Beacuse i will try to fly one of my helicopters to with trainer and do i need to set th curves and th Hold and idel up on the Dx7s Also?

Thanks!

Any chance you can try with a micro before risking a bigger one? )))))

Make sure the DX7s is on a blank Heli model.

If the problem comes from calibration, you can use the trim on the DX7s to correct, so that when you flip the Trainer switch the monitor values do not change.

So i need to set the values like sub trims and travel and th curves on the Dx7s so it is the same values on both transmitters?

For Pilot Link this should not be needed.

Read my previous post, it could be different calibration. This you solve with Trim on the Slave.

Lol, I wish I could speak Swedish ))))

You DO have to care about the values changing.
But try to get rid of the changes adjusting the trims on the DX7.
Try.

Maybe read this, long but useful:

One more: do not set the DX7 to Slave. Leave it on the clean model.
