Default How to connect servos to Ar6200 receiver... help!!

Hi All:

I just bought a new Dx6i radio system so that i can use it with my 3dx 450 (trex clone) i am building. Until now i was trying to use the Esky 0406a radio system but figured that it was not possible due to the different placement of the servos.

here's my question: In the Ar6200 receiver, i see a "batt/bind" and "throttle" 3-wire connector. I supplying the receiver power through my ESC.

i connected the esc to the "batt/bind" to bind it. But i see that my motor does not work when i increase the throttle. then i moved the esc to "throttle" pin and same thing, motor does work. I can control the servos though.

What am i doing wrong. Help !!!

You are correct that the ESC plugs into the throttle channel of your receiver. Most ESC's require the throttle stick to be in the zero (down) position when power is connected in order to initialize. Are you hearing any signal tones (beeps) coming from your motor?

To bind the Rx you have to put the Bind plug in the Batt/Bid slot.

The LED will flash rapidly when you power up with the Bind plug installed.

Turn on the Tx holding the bind button or switch. Hold until the LED on the Rx turns off then back on solid. Turn off Rx and remove the Bind plug. Turn the Tx off and then on, and power the Rx back up. The LED should come on solid within a few seconds.

The ESC plugs into the Throttle channel.

Having done all that you may find that the switch needs reversing on the throttle channel, if the switch is incorrect the ESC will not arm in the throttle closed position because it is full throttle?

You might have to calibrate the radio to the ESC if it isnt a reverse issue. Set the throttle end points to 50/50, set the throttle stick all the way up, turn up the end point untill the ESC chimes and add two points for pot changes, lower the stick and repeat.
