Default Gryphon Quasar (GSR-7075 LMT) Warranty

I've had my Quasar for about a year. Last week I had my E5 spool up by accident and held the head down until I shut everything off. Somehow it damaged my ESC and BEC. Neither one will turn on. I've tested my servos and everything seems okay...waiting on a new ESC to test the FBL unit.

Is there any kind of warranty on the Quasar?

You can try email gryphon.

But it's a thing caused by yourself, so I would not say it's covered under warranty.

But I don't understand why they would be damaged by this?
Have you powered the quasar up, separate from all other equipment?

Yup....no lights or anything. I can't figure out why it would damage anything either. The only thing I can guess is that something went wrong with the YEP and somehow messed up the BEC.

Hi again.

It sounds strange. Never seen that before.

But I've been in touch with gryphon, and they will repair it for you.
Please stay tuned for more information.

Best regards.

I sent them an e-mail and received a response from Youyoung Jen. Gryphon said they would take a look at it, but I would be responsible for the cost of shipping + any repairs.

I sent it off to S. Korea today. I figured I'd get it repaired if it was less than the cost of a new one.

It was definitely the ESC and the BEC that are gone. I think this might have been some issue with the YEP I was using. I switched over to a YGE 120 LVK + Fromeco DC-UP and had 6 flights today.

It'd be nice to have the BEC if I decide to switch to HV later on.

Hell if I was a company and wanted to find out what happened I would have paid the shipping to S. Korea just to diagnose the fault to make my products better. Hopefully they will stand up and do a no charge repair since they requested it back.

When I had issues with my Vega, I emailed Gryphon and they asked me to send it to them in Korea.
Ended up with repair free of charge. Only had to cover shipment

In my opinion, they really stand by their product.
