How does the TREX 150 compare to the Blade 130?
I realize they are different sizes, but I'm talking about how it flies, how it crashes, and how maintainable it is.
Please only respond if you have both and have flown them each over 100 flights. If you chose one over the other, please tell us why. Rick

I think you will be excluding a lot of people with good feedback on the 150x if you only want responses from those with over 100 flights on such a new heli. Particularly you will be excluding a potentally large group of responders who have had skid, tail or swash problems grounding their helis while they wait on the revised replacement parts. These are people who may otherwise have gotten 100 flights by now.

Thanks for the input.
I am looking for greater than 100 flights to get past all the initial issues and get input from the people that have gotten each heli to fly the best it is going to fly. That is the point where I would like to compare the two helis. Actually, I would expect those people that were unable to get to 100 flights to choose the fourth option. A little more info for those wondering why I am seemingly comparing apples and oranges. I could compare a Blade 130X to a Blade mCPX if I wanted. The result of that would be that the Blade 130X is much more stable with a much more stable tail. The down side of the Blade 130X would be its problematic tail. If I was comparing the TREX150 to a mCPX, the result wouldn't matter much to me. My decision to buy will be based on whether the TREX 150 is comparable or better than the Blade 130X. If its similar to an mCPX, no thanks, been there done that. Don't get me wrong, its a decent micro, but it's not what I am looking for. If this comparison is too much of a stretch for anyone, just don't participate. No harm done. To those who do, thanks much! Rick

the trex 150 is the way to go for sure if your wanting a micro. if you would fly one you would be like this is a no brainer!
i have the 130x as well and wish i would never spent the money. you will need to buy upgrades right out of the box if you do buy it tho. good luck

Looking too close to call at this point. Guess I will hold off buying for a bit.
Anybody else with new thoughts, feel free to post. Rick

I own two 130's=> probably combined maybe 400 or so flights.
I quit flying the 130X because I got fed up with the tail. I suppose if you dump enough into the thing and soup it up and speed it up.. you may as well get a 450 size heli at that point. I just got my 150 and I have 7 flights on the on battery I have yet (first flight was yesterday) and all I can say is GOD D$$M! Awesome little bastard- the tail is not obviously a collective pitch, but that being said it is way better than the tail on the NANO. I don't have an MCPX BL so I cannot comment on that. I own a 450X and a Synergy E5 and I like flying this 150 just as much as them. It has authority to it- like the 300X did almost. Also very easy to control the collective on it- I am literately cutting the grass inverted in front of my toes with the little fellow. (don't do this without shoes on) |

I like both. They both feel completely different. The 130x is like 2 sizes bigger than the 150, so I would recommend eventually getting both. But when you put it against the Nano or MCPX BL (Which it is right in between size wise) its the 150 all day. The 150 does have a way better power to weight ratio than the 130, and it does not need any upgrades out of the box. I do however like the way the 130x flies when everything is going good.
