Default Acceptable pitch difference

Hi guys,

First off all, thank you guys for the great support on this forum!

I'm finalizing the built of my Trex 800 dfc pro. I'm setting up the head right now using a Soko heli tool. The closesed I get my main blad grips at zero degrees is at a 0.2 - 0.3 degree difference from each other. Is this a acceptable difference or should I go for a absolute 0 degree?

Hi,

I have the Soko tool also and your figures for Pitch were about the same as mine for the 800. Mine has no notable tracking issues.

The only way you are likely to get 0, is with turnbuckles imo.

Hi Bonkievan,

thanks for your answer. Glad to hear that you have about the same difference. I just leave it this way and go flying!

P.S. Anyone use turnbuckels on a Trex 800? Do they really exist for application on a heli swashplate?

Hate to burst your happy Align bubble but yes, perfection does exist in rc helis and its not in Align linkages. This is what drove me most insane with my trex's, the lack of turnbuckles anywhere.

The new FL swashes from Align are pristine, zero slop, sorry that was off topic.

Same ol' bash Align rhetoric.....but I agree-its annoying as heck

If the Op really wanted to get 0 deg pitch, he probably could by starting the ball links the on the threads in a different spot, different ball links etc.

You'd drive yourself bananas, at least it would for me, being that pedantic.

Default Dead On Pitch

Hello,
It's a bit late in the thread but if you are interested I have my Trex 700 Nitro flybar converted to a flybarless 800 Helibug fitted with a KDE Head which utilizes the turnbuckle system and it works like a charm. Zero the blades and tracking is dead on. They make a head for you DFC pilots.Use your Align grips. http://www.kdedirect.com/collections...iant=940912435
