Default My First Puffed Lipo

Hey folks I have a 6S 5100 Mah Giant Power lipo that has lately become slightly puffed. It has 245 3D flights on it. I use it in my Trex 550 V2. After flying, cell number 5 is starting to lag behind a little. All of the cells Ir reading are around 1.9 with 2 at 2.1

How long is it safe to trust this lipo?

It balances good and runs fine but does get hotter than my Gens Ace 5300.

My next question is where can I buy one good cell to repair this lipo if I need one?

My next question is..... has anyone tried what's suggested in this video?

I guess this is gonna be one of those threads where I never get an answer. All I really need to know is......... is a puffed pack dangerous?

I'm just gonna baby the pack and put it on lighter duty and see how long it lasts.

All the IR readings range 1.9-2.1.
Cell 5 lags behind .14V after flying I'm not sure which cell that is on the lipo???

There's a pack killer on the loose. Its my rewound Scorpion HK3 4020-1350 now `1428KV. This pack does have 246 flights on it now so maybe its just its time??? Damn these big packs are costly though.

I scrap puffed batteries. I had one puff and heat up in flight and had a major decrease in power. I guess you have to ask yourself how much does it cost to repair your 550? If its cheaper than a new LiPo then keep pushing it. I would advise against that last comment.

Spend the $$$ for a new LiPo. You'll be glad you did.

Take care!
