Question Motor pulley choices for Agile 5.5

Would anyone happen to know if any smaller motor pulley choices might be coming for the Agile 5.5? I have a Viper VSH 6013 (http://www.viper-rc.com/vsh.html) 1300KV I'd be interested in trying on the 5.5, but I think I'd need an 18T or 19T pulley to get the headspeed down to a reasonable RPM. Anyone else using something above 1100-1200KV on the stock pulley?

Thanks.

I believe only 20, 21 and 22T pulleys are available.

The 7.2 uses a 19t pulley/pinion on the motor. It has requires a 6mm shaft, I am not sure it will fit the 5.5 frames.

Thanks for the replies!

Peter that is a good idea and I did take a look at the pulley for the 7.2. Hard to tell from the online photos, but it looks like the 7.2 pulley may be longer than that of the 5.5. Perhaps the belt on the 7.2 is wider than the 5.5?

That would be nice if they were interchangeable, that's for sure.

Thanks again.

We should have a 5.5 in the next few days. I will measure up the motor pinion to see how it compares with the 7.2 version.

Excellent Peter

Thanks

Looking forward to your findings. I seen the main first stage gears are both 54tooth. It also looks that the tooth pitch are the same. In my thinking it will come down to a matter of being able squeeze whatever extra length may be involved in the swap. Its got to be possible. You would also be gaining a metal main gear vs the 5.5's delrin i assume

Hello - Just wondering if the 7.2 pinions will work on the 5.5? I'd like to use a 19 tooth pinion on the 5.5

Nope, sorry. Belts are different heights and therefore pinions (pulley) too. Would not keep belt centered on main pulley.

Definitely not the 500/570, Agile belt is much taller profile.
I imagine 630/700 is going to be too tall a belt profile and won't keep belt aligned on 5.5

What pinion is it you need?
Someone used a belt and pulley from a Voodoo 600, can't remember who posted it but I think it was in the Agile pic's thread I saw it.

I haven't figured out the correct way to calculate the headspeed yet, but 19 or 18T I guess.

I can't find any "Voodoo 600" parts anywhere on the net. Something very rare?
