I flew the Spartan fbl unit last night and it was GREAT....

...and then awoke from my dream and had to get up and go to work... I tried as hard as I could to get back to sleep and into that same dream to no avail.

oh well, it was fun while it lasted.

I cant wait until this puppy is released. I have 2 BeastX units now but my Quark and 760 I will will never get rid of.

I don't know man. I'm still holding on to my Flybar/DS 760 for that reason alone. With my luck, I'll decide to spend the money on some other system and Angelos will release his at around that time.

Well Angelos, when dude? Is it the Japan thing? Can't get electronic components?

I wouldnt be so sure about that. there were alot of really good tail gyros already to market when the DS760 came out and that was a game changer. Spartan may surprise us with what they have in store on the 3 axis front.

But right now its nobar, running the new 200 fbl head
Im running a zpower ace450, im gona run a 4500 head speed, but with sick power.
the 425 has the new gaui/ scorpion motor gm 504, its got more balls then the older gaui 504 I had,

I was waiting for the Spartan FBL offering, but I'd promised myself I'd go FBL for this year and then the CGY750 came along. Brand loyalty only waits (waited) for so long...

Too many people started offering DS760's and Quarks for sale due to moving to FBL. The good condition gyros are going down in price.
I just wonder if Spartan FBL system would re-use current gyros in it?

It's not clear what to do. To sell or to buy?

I can't imagine it re-using current gyros.

The trend in the FBL Market has definitely been moving towards an all in one unit that can do it all, from receiver functions to tail gyro. It would be going backwards for spartan to do otherwise in my opinion.

I just agreed to buy a second hand protos, I'm going to fly it with FB for a month but then I'm going to look at FBL when the dust has settled on the new align 3GX which looks quite promising as a cheaper option, or decide to go skookum.

I hope that by that time there is some info on the Spartan too so I can add that to my decision process!

A simple flybarless controller that just does what it does with Spartan perfection at a reasonable cost, or an all singing all dancing system like the Skookum SK720 with a raft of extra features built and planned such as accelerometers for self level, gps etc?

Logging or telemetry would be something new for them, so basic functionality I'd guess. These days a gov is expected too.
