4 blade head setup
Can someone tell me whats wrong here??? Ball link is tight against the follower arm when its connected to the ball. Seems to me the arms are on backwards but this is what audacitys website shows. Also where do the 4 lock washers go?
Thanks

What is the solution? I'm considering this head for my Pantera.

Dont know if its the correct way but in addition to putting the 4 lock washers that are in the head kit under the balls, i put a nut on each as well. End of the bolt is still flush with back side of transfer arm so i think it will be fine. What i had to do to get the link far enough from the arm to work correctly IMO. Guess ill find out tomorrow if ive committed taboo....

Yup, that is correct; the nut goes between the ball and the arm to space the ball out a little bit extra for clearance of the link near the transfer arm.
Here's a tip for static tracking of the blades before you fly. Since a 450 tail boom is 14mm in diameter (the same as the opening in the rotor blade grips), just take a short length, maybe 6-8" long, and use it as a tracking jig. Here's how. Beginning at the master blade, slip the short piece of boom into the grip and swing it so the other end slips into the grip immediately behind it. If it won't slide in nicely, simply adjust the length of the link of the second grip (longer or shorter) until it does (remember, you do not adjust the length of the master grip at all, always leave it alone). Next move the piece of boom to the second grip and swing it into the third grip, and fine tune the third grip's linkage. Ditto the fourth, which slips back into the master grip (the one with a tiny M milled into the head). If it slips in perfectly you're done but if not, just go around one more time. Using this method often results in there being no requirement for blade tracking whatsoever upon the first lift off. Last thing, we assembled another batch of Quatro rotor heads to fill back orders so they're in stock once again.
