Default Goblin Performance...

Could goblin type performance be obtained with any decent 3D heli currently out there, put in a more powerful system?
Is there something more to it.
I've seen the headspeeds for the 600 size, and the Align 600EFL has a higher headspeed.
What makes the goblin a higher performance heli than the others?
Just curious.

Some helicopters would not be able to handle as powerful a system as you can put in the goblin. The goblin has a particularly beefy drive train. For example I have no doubt I could put 700 size electronics on a 630 goblin because it uses the same drive train whereas a different helicopter might strip its gears.

...but realistically speaking, how many can actually fly the heli to its full potential? Not many... which brings me to my next point. Does it matter? Probably not... with today’s technology we are really spoiled in this hobby.

OP, what exactly do you mean by 'goblin like performance'? Can you be more specific?

TDR can.. but its built for a different kind of flight.
Speed and smoothness.

where the goblin is built as a very aggressive 3d heli.

Weight comes into play also. Some helis are light and don't need a high head speed as others to get the same performance. The 600efl is kind of heavy so a higher head speed will help compensate for the extra weight.

Yes, many other helicopters can achieve the same performance as the Goblin. There is nothing magical about it. It's just a quality airframe that handles a good amount of power.

You can set a TDR up for very aggressive flying as well, just not many people choose to do it.
I suppose the opposite is true about Goblin, can be set up for smooth flying.

Personally I don't really get the need for 2k+ head speeds on light 700s

To answer original question there is many 700 clas helis which can do the same as Goblin or more, pretty much every high quality modern 700 heli out there can handle similar power system (4525 LE motors and 2k and up headspeeds).

A Protos 500 moves awfully quick with the stock setup, no upgrades required. From what I've seen the same goes for the TDR, diabolo, Logo, Gaui X5/X7 and a few others.

I know there is an upgraded motor available for the Protos that it handles with no problem.

Not going to hate on the Goblin, its a unique looking machine with a very robust power system. No helicopter is perfect.
