Default Can't save flying site

I am not sure what is going on here but there seems to be some latch up when I try to save my flying site. after assigning the file a name and clicking ok a dialog box appears and states:

There was a problem opening the file for writing. Please select another file name.

Anybody run into this when creating a flying site? If so what can be done or better yet what did I do wrong. Thanks for help in advanced I hope something can be done I worked on my site for hours and now I am screwed.

I can't figure out how to make a cube show up in red/3D so that I can line it up. All that I can do is move the arrows around. I can't make the actual shape come up. I have done it once and can't do it again. I have been going through the German tutorials but that protion is a little vague. It says this when translated

"If you press on the left side of your keyboard to appear "up arrow" button instead of "arrowheads" now "squares on your object, the object with which you thicker, longer and wider
can draw. But this requires a little "handle" with the left mouse button, hold down the mouse button and moving the mouse in the desired direction. This, however, several times, as
to pluck. Adjust the object, but at the height of the corn field, and make it a little wider."

Seems something is lost in translation. I know about holding SHIFT but the boxes/arrows just retract back instead of making the the cube larger/wider/taller. I wish there was a better manual that explained keyboard functions.

I could get this site done if I could figure this part out. I have been all over the net trying hunt down this info. Please help me

Sorry guys but I understand now how it all works and I am moving right along. I have been messing with this creator for a week now and just figured it all out. The ground is still a little tricky as there are quite a bit of pitch changes in the terrain. Distancing objects is rather difficult still but its getting there. Thanks to all who posted the many helpful threads out there.

I'm struggling with Phoenix Creator. I know how to make the cubic files, but when I open them with Creator they don't appear on the screen, so I never see a preview.

And, what's the X+, X-, Y+, Y-?? Can't they just say "front, back, left and right"? What's the correspondence between letters and orientation?

Okay, I have to change the "View" to see the images.

Now I see:
+x: front
-x: back
-z: left
+z: right
-y: top
+y: bottom

Onward and downward.....
