No doubt it is going to be cheaper than $30 bucks Pride - USPS international rates are pretty cheap usually, my guess would be a max of $10, New Bee will sort you out!

You have opened the flood gates now man!

The instructions in the first post of this thread are pretty straight forward. I followed them to fash my first ESC yesterday and it worked perfect. I don't understand the need of a video for every little thing?

Reading, research and a little common sense goes a long way.

Currently have a V1 board, stock frame (w/ carbon stiffener), C05 motor, XP7 + AEO and stock tail. Batts are 300mah, 30C from readyheli (I think, not terribly impressed). C05 flys better than stock, but not appreciably so, imho.

What are the options for an upgraded motor on this ESC? Trying to take things a step at a time. Main motor, tail motor, batteries.

Wow, all stock of toolstickBA is gone on digi-key. Good that I ordered the last one. I'm always interested in MCU programming and I might as well order a daughter card to play with. I looked on SiLabs website and I'm a bit confused as to what exactly do I need in order to program myself. Sounds like the free software include a full-feature assembler but a limited-feature C compiler. Is that right?

Not sure about the C compiler, Mike (briareos777) would know. I use the Raisonance Ride 7 and Rkit51 for assembly. It is full featured, but limited to 8k code size (which is only what is available in the F330 anyway).

I didn't try it yet, but first things i notice is than Steffen shows us to connect the signal wire to the resistor in the back for V2 too whereas each time people asked for BL conv with a V2 the answer was something like "on the stock pin" for the signal wire ...

Do I have to do it with a XP flashed ? or both works the same for a V2 board ?

You have to connect the signal wire from the resistor on the back of the board to the ESC. The only difference between the V1 and V2 boards are the locations where the signal wire is soldered. We have gone beyond using the main motor output for the signal like most of the p-n-p kits do. Steffen shows an example of both at the beginning of this thread.

Is that free? Did a quick google search and so far I can't seem to find a free one. Don't think I'll need C compiler anyways if the SiLabs free IDE comes with 8k+ code size assembler. Will take a closer look later when I get a chance. Thanks Steffen.

That is free. I think you can download it from Raisonance (after registering) and set it up under the Silabs IDE. I know Mike also did that. The installation files I got were:
- Ride7_7.36.11.0280.exe
- RKit-51_6.12.11.0280.exe

I just ordered the ToolStick from Mouser:
https://ca.mouser.com/Search/Product...34-TOOLSTICKBA

Hope that helps. I've ordered from Mouser before (power regulator for my 2S conversion). They ship cheap (USPS) or fast, your choice!

Cheers,

Hey, I just realized I sent a link that was the Canadian distribution channel. When you go to that site, try changing your country to something a lot closer to home... point was it's an option, and in stock...

Yesterday my XP-3A arrived. After having flashed the XP-12A for my HP06v2 on first try, I got the tail to work on my first try as well (I am pretty proud, that I managed to solder the signal wires for flashing onto the tiny pads on the XP-3A!). Thanks to Steffen for the detailed instructions.

Greetings,
Robert
