Jamie, I have tried...... It is futile

THIS my friend is why I put this in my video to begin with and I expected it not to be a problem. In fact I see people with VIBES all the time and just backing off the boom a little solves it! This is true on the 500 and 700 too

Thanks for measuring today's heli and letting us all know that it is a must! When I do my vids they get "dated" if you know what I mean and thus I expect changes. Well I guess this one has not changed.....

Bob,

I've got a 2nd hand 600 Nitro Pro. There's a subtle noise comming from it (sounds like dry metal being cut on a lathe - a bit screachy).

I've replace the clutch tower in its entirity - There's a brand new OS55 on there and I've just replaced the main bearings but the noise is still there. Re done the tail and gear as per your videos.

In the field today I noticed that on other people's 600 the top gear of the one way set moves quite freely by hand. Mine moves bit is somewhat tighter.

If I loosen the bolt on the bottom cog it gets much better.

I think there's something wrong here - do you have any videos detailing the installation of the one way on the main shaft ??

Thanks

My build videos show the one way but it is like all Trex helis. A sleeve goes in the ones way and that sleeve is what bolts to the main shaft. Your one way could be rusted or worn out possibly. It's easy to change. Use the right sized sockets and just tap it out of the main gear hub. Make sure to note orientation and tap the new one in the same way.

Thanks Bob.

I've fixed the problem, the bearing was warped although it looked perfect it wasn't.

The give away is that the top gear should rotate freely by hand without the rotors moving.

New bearing and all perfect.

I have not done anything on the 3G yet and sorry to say the Aurora 9 video are not yet complete. My next heli build I will show the aurora 9 setting up a heli. Just follow the principles showing setup and try to apply them using the aurora 9. I recommend watching some of my general 101 videos in here.

Default Reciever hookup

How do you hookup an R617FS reciever when you need all 7 ports for components? I have no port for the regulator to power it up. Can I piggyback somehow?

You could use a Y connector on any one of the channels and plug the regulator into that. If your gyro gain plug only has the signal wire, you could fit the +/- wires from the reg. into it.

Hi Bob,

Like so many others here, I have just completed a TREX 600 N Pro and I can say your videos were invaluable. Although years ago I built some heli's a Schluter JR 50 and a TT Raptor 50, I didn't understand why something was done, or how to set things up better mechanically.

Your technique is great, comes across well and your experience clearly shows through why some steps are better done in non sequence..... as I remembered having fitted the engine with the stiffener plate in, whilst yours was done without!!!!

Anyhow, mine is nearly ready to fly, set ups are being completed as I write and I have every confidence which has been enhanced by seeing your videos, so many thanks indeed.

I'll let you know how she maidens!

Hi Bob

Just wanted to say thanks for these great videos, I just finished building a T-Rex 600N 3G, it has not flown yet, but I'm sure it will be a great success.

Your dedication is something for all of us to look up to.

Thanks

It would be best to post questions in the actual Trex600 Nitro forum here.

I do not have a 701 sorry. But I would bet the 701 sets up just like the 601/611 and my videos on that gyro should help you out.
