Default X50e guys where are you?

Hard to believe there are not any x50e guys still out there. Still loving mine on 10s with a bd3sx!

Cheers,
TomC

I know, I know. I mentioned how quiet this sub forum is back in Dec 2013 when I was building my kit.

I don't fly as much these days, just browse HF from time to time and found your post Tom. It's a ghost town here lol.

If I buy another heli it'll be an established brand like Gaui or Saab etc. Also been reading that brands going bust and parts becoming unavailable. Happy flying mate.

Ya, most of my current heli fleet are now discontinued. I don't think there is a brand does not discontinue some of their models once in a while. No big deal, I just fly them until I run out of spares and can longer source them. Then they get retired, like me, lol!

Cheers,
TomC

I have one on 12s. Flies fine, just don't get out with it as much as the nitros. Have another in the box, just in case...

Did Thunder Tiger pull out of the US completely? I can barely find their heli's available on the web.

Default Thunder Tiger X50e

Hey...I agree. I cannot find many TT x50e pilots out there. I have two complete setups and love them. They are both on the bench right now because the tail servos went bad. However, I would like to convert one down to 6s because I like to do aerobatics in slow mo for the crowd.

I am here too
Today I am changing my old x50e to a 6s setup with a brand new KDS 4020-1100 kv engine and a HobbyWing Platinium V4 120A Esc. It still have got the old Futaba CGY750 flybarless gyro and the Hitec HS8360TH servos.
Hope to get some more mileage out of it

Ya, I guess clone parts would be better than no parts, lol!

Cheers,

you could get parts from ebay. Just talk to the store skyhobby2014. They don't have everything listed probably for cost saving.

Default Need Parts

I have come to a cross road, do I keep looking for parts for my x50e, that i enjoyed flying. Or do I put it in the closet and find another heli to build? What are your thoughts.

Still flying mine, managed to get hold of some spares to keep it in the air. Fixing the tail boom will need improvisation next time around.

Here's still one available: https://www.woutersmodelbouw.nl/cata...bon-motor-esc/
