Default Carefully inspect your MQX

I finally got my MQX this evening and while charging my first battery, I started inspecting everything. My front left prop (from the rear) has a crack in the prop just under the screw. Obviously the screw had been tightened too tight at the factory. I've sent an email to HH with pictures and I'm sure they'll be happy to replace the prop.

I think it's a good idea to carefully inspect everything before the first flight.

What about those decals, where ya supposed to put them?

Always a good idea to inspect your new RTF heli/quad before flying

I thought the same about the decals too. I think I managed to place 3 or 4 of them lol.

I would like to add if You have a crash and it happens to crash upside down check forup And down movement of the props. Treat it like The mcpx press form the top and press gear back in place. The movement of this causes the heli when giving throttle it will go in a forward movement or backwards depending on what prop it is. Just want to let you guys know.

Be blessed
Isaac

Aww that's a little harsh.

Wait... There is always something that needs adjusted. Still super convenient.

we are putting the decals over the holes and cracks caused by a moving coffee table,lol..it couldnt be caused by pilot error,,,,,, the canopy is extremely fragile,we got holes in our new canopy and hobby shop has orders for replacements from other customers also....no seriously im guessing arrow decals are for directional orientation

I did a check on my MQX to determine its condition, all pretty good, no cracked props. Wondered whether lubing it would make the props turn with any less force. So, After 6 flights before any lube was applied:

1) Left front - almost no resistance.
2) Right front - very slight drag
3) Right rear - same as #1 but pinion gear has slight ecentric wobble. No crashes yet, so this is as received.
4) Left rear - definate drag. No wobble. This prop always stops first.

Used light oil on motor bearings, exposed end only. Same oil used on rotor bearings upper and lower.

1) Left front - better than before, barely detectable drag.
2) Right front - same as #1
3) Right rear - silky smooth
4) Left rear - better but still has drag.

Flew for 8.5 minutes and charger indicated 302 ma used. This is 7-11 ma. Less than previous stock condition, I.e. No oiling by me. Have flown 10 minutes and still didn't hit 80%, though to be fair I'm not hammering it yet.

I think HH did a good job on this little guy, considering how it flies and the price. Have to see how many flights we can get out of it before any motors need replaced. Have fun! PHC
