Good news! I'll have to stock up on some from eBay then.
Thanks

This is good news, As I too have been looking at the Nano QX as my next purchase. I have the Blade MSR RTF, and V911 currently. Should I get the Nano QX RTF, or will I be able too bind the Tx from the Blade MSR with the Nano QX?

I sent you a PM, but no, the MLP4DSM will not bind to the Nano QX

Edit: Sorry, I was wrong...it will bind

Default motor gets hot

One thing to consider is that if you fly flight after flight with the same heli the motor will get hot and not last as long. It is a good idea to let each heli rest for a while between flights.
This is a good time to fly a different heli and a good excuse to have multiple helis! All IMO; Don

Yes, I just got your message. Thank you for the reply. I went online and looked up the RTF version, and it seems too have the same remote as the mSR. I have an mSR RTF, so This is good news, I guess I can get the Nanoqx BNF and save a few bucks.

I def want too get an good trasmitter though, the big problem I have with that, is that I don't know anyone else who is into this hobby... there is NO local hobby shop. The closest one too me is about an hour and a half drive... so I really have nobody too teach me the ins and outs of programming a remote. I could really see myself going for a loop trying too figure that all out... <migraine>

Well.. I have a solution for that...

Buy the DX9 and I can email you heli setups and you can download them to the DX9 and they will fly right from the box the way you want them

Plenty of help and advice here on the forum, if you look in the right place. There are also guides online to help you through the technical stuff. When I first got my DX6i and read the manual, it looked pretty daunting. Deep breath, relax and go away and look up exactly what each of the numbers actually does. Once you have an understanding of what those numbers mean, it tends to fall into place fairly quickly.

Thank you both!!! Should I go for the Spektrum DX9 or the DX6i? or even the DX8? What is the big difference with the ascending model numbers? Does that mean one has more features than the other???

I want too get one that will run the Blade mSR that I have now, and I also plan on a mcpx, and an mcpx bl as my next two helis. I would like too get a bigger size heli for outdoors like a 120sr or something. Something a little bigger, but easier too fly and more tame, just for playing with my son.

Once I am comfortable using the mcpx and the mcpx bl I would like too move into something more agressive for outdoors 3D flight... I realize that this is yeas down the road, but is it possible too get a Trasmitte that will run all of those? As well as one that can be used with a sim?

Any Spektrum TX above the DX6i will fly any blade heli with the exception of the 3-ch Scout...so yes you can fly everything you have with a new TX...

I have the DX9...and I simply love the buxom gal who lives inside it saying all the voice commands (161 possible) that I've programmed for various flight events

Programmable channel assignments means you can use any switch for any function ( most of them 3-position) (unlike the DX6i)

Advanced mixing and the "solid antenna structure" were also serious considerations in My purchase

The DX9 comes with an SD card, which allows you to "store and transfer" models from your TX to a PC and back...or even to another DX9 ! An infinite number of models can be stored before a transfer is needed to make room (approx. 250)

At the present, I only have 10% of it's capacity utilized

The DX6i will fly almost any FP or collective-pitch electric helicopter.
Perhaps he meant "DX6i OR above."

Throttle, pitch, rudder, aileron, elevator, gyro.

I use my DX6i with my mSR, mCPx, T-Rex 450proFBL, and all of my five planes.

Default Noobie question about MSR batteries and charger....

Another noob question:
Msr book tells where to put battery, and how it should orient, but doesn't seem to say how far to push the thing in. Sounds like a stupid question, but it is rather fragile and the battery included is a pretty tite fit.

If you push it all the way in as Slack says, you will have the correct CG or at least the SAME CG every flight.
