Default Quick 300CFX Review

Just got back from running 3 packs each through the 300X and 300CFX. The 300CFX is pretty impressive. It sure seems like that crappy stock motor has a lot of balls. It takes a lot to bog that motor, even with the 11T stock pinion. Could eflight have changed something between the 300X and the 300CFX? There are zero vibes. I can U/I (85%) on the ground as long as I want and there is none of the tendency to tip because of vibes. I'm still learning tic-tocs and I'm doing a crappy modified version as I'm learning, but it seems perfectly capable. Inverted punch-out is straight as a arrow and like a rocket. It is just as much fun to fly as my highly modified 300X. If anyone is looking for a 250-300 sized heli, they should seriously take a look at this one. It is is treat to fly right out of the box....

Good to hear, now everyone needs keep flying them and let us know if the servos last 100's of flights along with esc and motor. glad vibrations are not there.
I think they should offer one w/o servos and fbl unit tho. then we could put in whatever we wanted.hope this one holds up lot better then the 300x

Either way the bx is 240$, so replace the servos when they crap out and it's still a pretty cheap heli. Under 100$ for the airframe, mechanics and blades ain't bad. It would be very nice if they offered an airframe only kit though for those of us with extra fbl gyros or servos sitting around. This heli really is priced cheap for what you get, a pre built heli with a reliable fbl receiver, cf frame and Metal head.

after 6 flights, about 45min of airtime and about 6 hours of setup-work and adjustments I can now also say: "I love this heli just like I loved the 300X when it first came out 2 years ago".

The difference is: with the 300X it was love at first sight - with the CFX not!

Waldorf! I used to live down the road in Mechanicsville....

Also, I found out about the #1 dial-in-the-fully-negative-position a few days ago. Night and day difference set in the middle...

hey guys,

I am approaching 200 flights with my CFX300 all stock servo's and all and working perfectly.... it seem so connected to my controller... my 500x is close but not as direct.. all my other heli's have hit the ground before.. so hard to tell ... but the 300 handles really really well!!

I think my tail blades are showing signs of cracking... will pick up new and some carbon fiber but 186 flights give or take 1 or 2

to windy today or it would be over 200 for sure

cheers

Yeah, I moved to B'more when I met my future wife, who is a B'more native - about 10 years ago. I lived close to Budds Creek in the middle of Amish country on 2.5 acres. I wish I had that property again to fly! haven't been able to find any flying buddies around here. we should plan something this summer. I'm on FB too: search for tjohn55. Lots of heli pages on FB if you done't use it...

CRAP Actually... take them off and look close, I just remembered my post on the 300x... long ago like a month after it went live. THE HOLES stretch on those plastic blades. Mine did and I took pictures of it... freaked me out. -- They will break if they stretch too far. CF tail blades are a must.. not kidding
