Default Tail blowing out

I have a consistant tail blowout if I fly fast backwards with full collective. The tail will hang in their from a inverted puch out, but the weather vane effect eventually over powers it.

Have I reached the limitation of the tail? I'm running Rail tail blades, so I can only go up in size if I want to increase effectiveness. I am using a BX, I can swap it out for the CGY750 to see if it changes anything, but don't really want to go through that hassle. Headspeed is around 3000 in IU1 and IU2 3300.

My tail servo is the Ino Labs HGD digital 261HB running at 5V.
Power: 4.8V ~ 6.0V
Speed: .07sec/60, .06sec/60
Stall Torque: 2.4kg.cm, 3.0kg.cm
Dynamic: 2.0kg
Weight: 20.0g
Size: 30x13x33.3mm

Anyone else have this issue?

I run the same servo on my stretch with 360 blades and can fly pretty fast backward into wind with my setup.I'm using ecopower 62mm and they work great! Are you getting full travel to torque ,I adjust the bladegrip to shaft to maximize against torque. The stretch boom length might help but never could get my tail to blow out.The Beam spins the tail faster than most 450's so should not blow out.You should get at leas 35degrees against torque!I have a tarot metal pitch arm and metal slider/ball with the rest Beam.Works great.

So you didn't get blowout on the stock setup? I was wrong, I've got Radix tail blades on the Beam (Rails are on the 7HV) but they are 59mm and should be up to the job.

I don't understand what you mean when you say "I adjust the bladegrip to shaft to maximise against torque." So you don't have a neutral setup in rate mode? You have more bias for the anti-torque direction? How many mm is the gap between the boom bearing and the inside of the slider bearing?

I'm using tarot tail shafts which I think gives me one mm more and I make sure I get aleast 35 degrees against torque. The ecopower are 62mm which might be the difference. They don't seem to get much closer to the ground but have a longer cord( more blade area).

I get about 35 degrees of pitch, I may have to try 62mm blades next time I need a pair.

Well my BX smashed my heli into the ground, but the tail blades came out without a scratch (main blades took the hit and the tail had stopped by the time it hit the ground).

Now to the repairs, and choosing a different FBL unit

Maybe my tail problem has been an early indicator of why my BX crashed my heli. During bench testing I found out my Radix tail blades are causing the vibration. Changed to KBDD 62mm and all seems good again.

Hopefully I get a chance to test things out after work tomorrow night.

Finally got time off and weather to line up

The tail holds rock solid now with the KBDD tail blades. It was the Radix blades causing the vibes and hence the gyro wasn't working that well. Who would have thunked it
