Default G5 Going FBL

Hi G5 pilots. So I'm going to convert my G5 to FBL and need some advice. I have upgraded all servos to digital, went woth aligns newest edition the 415m for cyclic and the 425m for the tail. Running the 1600kv outrage motor and hobbywing 40amp esc and using the built in bec. I havent decided wich fbl system to use yet but orderd the outrage fbl conversion kit. Got radix fb main and tail blades will these be fine even for fbl or should I get the fbl ones ? Any thoughts on wich fbl system to get ? There are so many out there these days and the only one i have played with is the 3GX v2.1. I have a hitec aurora 9 so it doesnt matter if it can use sbus or spectrum sattelites since I'm stuck with a receiver anyway. Any experience and wisdom u can share is welcome.

I prefer the BEASTx. it handles vibrations the best IMO.

as for the FBL head.. I am not a big fan of the Outrage GF fbl head.. mine has developed a ton of head slop.. moving around on the main shaft even.. I tighten it up in the vice but it just gets loose again..

I think the head is the poorest part of the g5..

However keep in mind i really fly this bird hard.. I have ordered a BEAM fbl head and will report back on that later

You will get the best geometry with an rjx 450 fbl head with the beastx with the servo balls at recommended distance. The stock fbl head is definetely very questionable and with the beastx to get proper geometry you will have to move the balls in on the servo horns and this f&%$# things up big time.

2 sided swash driver...so its got that going for it already. Looking forward to an update, i know eventually the business masterminds that run outrage will stop making parts for this little monster and well have to start FrankenRaging them back together...

for me the issue is not so much the one sided driver but the fact the main shaft actually startes to move around in the fbl head.. lol

I can still fly it around and for a night rig I dont throw it around as hard (YET!)

3rd lower bearing on main shaft and dont buy a heli without it. That takes out rave 450(crap) rex 450 pro (CRapist tail on the earth) and the g5 lol

except for the tail grips the g5 tail is the best to have in as you can not find em anywhere. A little step milled in the tail grips for the bearings would have cured the throw the blade syndrome and pitifull 12500 rating but then again I know several that run those grips highe. I choke, choke prefer the pro 450 tail hub and bearings. these require a little spacicing on the pitch links to hub but it is the only good part on a rex pro 450 tail LOL and 15000 rpm is the norm!

So i recieved the outrage fbl conversion kit.I will give that a try to start with.
If it does not perform to my liking I will swap it for another head.

As for the fbl unit i got a tarot ZYX. Maybe not topnotch stuff but from what i seen it does fly.

Tarot fbl works well. I have a buddy with it in his 450. It will take all the 3d i can throw at it fine!

Its identical inside to the copterx fbl
