Angry trying to see Finless video -

I've logged in 15 times - cleared cookies 20 times - reset so many times I lost count - and I still can't access his videos!!

Can't somebody PLEASE fix the problem!! His videos are too good to have to put up with this nonsense. Maybe he should make a video on how to access his videos or find another website to post them to?

Well of the 1800 people that have logged in today you are the only one, I am aware of, still having this issue. I would ask that you re-check your work and delete any HeliFreak.com cookies, authenticated sessions, and restart you browser (restart your machine on Windows).

Once this resolves you should not have the problem again.

Apologies.

As a test if you are running IE try using Firefox or vise-versa

It seems important to restart the browser or machine. It is ESPECIALLY important to clear "Authenticated sessions". We have tested the downloads with:
  • FireFox on a Mac
  • FireFox On XP
  • FireFox on Vista
  • IE on a Mac
  • IE on XP
  • IE on Vista
  • Safari 2.0 on a Mac
  • Safari 3.0 on a Mac
So unless your running a browser on a platform we have not tested I am not exactly sure what to tell you but, if you do it correctly, it works. All the admins here have several machines and we usually download at least 1 video a day.

I am running Opera 9 on a PC and even after clearing the HeliFreak cookies, and restarting the browser, no go on the videos.

It is something that has changed with the forum as I had no problems until a short while ago.

Something on the board has changed for sure. We had WAY too many people downloading videos, without logging in (not members of Helifreak), and we incurred A LOT of expense

Opera seems like it is not supported correctly. On the Mac it keeps logging me out like I never logged in. I would not be surprised that the Windows version does not work correctly either. I will let the developers know.

Actually, with Opera I can't log out. If I log out, I get the clearing cookies message, and then I am right back logged in.

Hey Ken, here is a good set of links you may want to use in your list too. They are old-school but very detailed for those wanting to understand more about the theory of operation of these toys we play with

Default Finless blade balancing 101

This is a difficult question to ask but I will try. In the video you have one blade teetering before the other while finding each blades cg.Now to correct this you explain that both should teeter at the same time. You mention adding weight to the ends of the blade and no mention of adding weight to the root of the blade. My question is can you add weight to the root of the blade if you know that, that particular blade is the lighter of the two which will help in the final balancing of both blades when you bolt them both together and use the align balancer? As it stands now I have only added weight to the ends of the blade only to find it was the heaviest blade to start of with and in doing so I had to add a whole lot of weight to the lighter blade's cg on the final balancing. Does that make sense?

I don't think you could or should add weight behind the blade bolt but if you wanted to add tape down towards the grip end of the balde (but outside the grip area) I don't see why that wouldn't be OK.
