Default New Logo 700!

Here are all of the pics I took of this heli at Rotor Live this weekend.

I was told that the expected release is this summer 2016. No price info yet.

I was also told that it is nearly the same weight as the 690SX. Just a touch heavier. I had originally thought they said 100g heavier, but it may have ben 10g. Either way, not very much.

Here is a link to the original post with the full size images attached for those who would like them.

How does the belt driven tail work? It's not in line with the boom, so is there a reduction gear of some sort?

It is a hold over from the 700xxtreme. Belt to a reduction gear that drives a TT.

I don't think they're going to offer an 800 stretch kit for this 700. The battery bay doesn't really look big enough for 7s packs. They have the 6s5000 packs on their side and it looks like they barely fit.

It also looks like they molded in some slots for zip ties to secure wiring on the lower frames. If I'm right, I wouldn't use them because that would negate the advantage in a crash of having easily replaceable lower frames. I'd love to see how Kyle wired his new 700.

I do not believe so, but I did not specifically ask that question.

I did get a decent video of Kyle Dahl flying it today. Will post it here soon.

KX, GREAT PICS! Thank You!

Did you happen to get any close up shots that show more detail of the battery tray plate, mounting, and locking system?

I'd like to see more of that to determine (IMO) how easy & fast battery changes will be and how secure the plate is locked.

ps.. Your link is to the EXO pics.

Actually I didnt. But I did fiddle with it a bit. It is a basic single flat piece of CF that you mount the packs to and then slide in. It has the lock. Very easy to operate and very secure.

They're using the same locking pin device as what's on the v2 frames.

No, KX said 10 to 100 g heavier than the 690, which has a RTF weight of 4.8 kg

Cool, thanks!

Although someone mentioned that the battery bay looks a little tight, it doesn't appear that way to me.

Hopefully any brand and C rating 12s 5000mAh pack will fit fine. I think pack sizes in general have shrunk since I last purchased any (2012)

My top 3 interests at the moment are Pulse, Gens Ace, or Revolectrix HV. I may or may not make my own (2- 6s 5000's strapped to the tray). It depends on pricing and availability when it's time to order.

I would say the cells have done the exact opposite. Look at the three current performance leaders... HK Graphene, HK Bolt and Revo GO/Revo435blend I believe all are larger than previous packs and heavier as well at around 900g for a 6s5000.

yeah that's what I don't understand either about the weight of this thing. I am reading completely different stories on this.

So far I have read:

- Kyle's demo 700 was 12lbs RTF
- The Logo 700 weighs either 10g or 100g heavier than the 690 (690's are under 5kg easy)
- The Logo 700 is 5.3kg RTF

Soooooo what is it?

If you are talking about RTF weights...I would think that depends on which battery size and brand you go with.
