Cool T-rex 600e to a T-Rex 250 was not good at our house

I have only been in this hobby for five months now and have a growing fleet. I bought an Esky Belt & a 450 clone that I practiced on. So I decided it would be fun to build a 450 clone from scratch, which ended up flying better then the first two. Now I needed to go bigger & ordered the T-Rex 600e that was over 700.00 with the approval of the wife. Now here is where things went south on me, I ordered a T-Rex 250 for 300.00 plus to use as a practice heli inside on bad flying days. Because we live in the middle of nowhere the wife had to pick it up at the post office, when she came home with the package she said I don’t think this is the helicopter you ordered, yes it is dear, what?? Of course it is much smaller than the 600 but did tell her it was for the betterment of my skills so I don’t crash the big one. I think we are okay now.

A sim would be better on bad flying days

A 250 would put a hurtin' on anything it hits. But still a fun machine for outdoors.

A 250 isnt an indoor machine. Depending on how big your indoors is of course. An Mcpx or the new 130x would be a better choice for indoors.

Very clever idea, next time I need a "practice" heli, I'll try the same thing with my wife.....thanks.

My wife refers to my helicopters as small (mCPx), medium (450), and large (500).

I happen to have ample room without any obstructions that I have a meaningful attachment to & not into the 3D thing. Talking about that if the simulator required you to wear 3D glasses, that may have changed my decision on buying a practice helicopter. “Nothing like the rush of the real thing.”
