Default How do i auto rotate?

When I want to auto rotate how do I kill the motor while still keeping the pitch up on the blades?

Throttle Hold. Your radio's manual should describe how to set it up. There's also videos in Finless Bob's Helifreak Tech Room. Look in the stickies for the "101" thread. 1st post has all the videos linked in it.

I did 2 today, not nearly as pretty as the sim. I did them at about 15-20 feet, hit TH, pitch down a bit and then up before hitting the dirt. I recommend a small crashproof bird like an MCPx, or a small walkera cp. And yes, definately practice it on the sim if you haven't already. I like to do a couple at the end of each sim session.

The mCPx will not auto at all. The tail has to be connected mechaincally to the main rotor for one thing and you need a one way bearing between the motor drive and the main rotor.
