Default Brushless Genius Cp Battery???

I'm thinking about getting a brushless genius cp, and I've heard that a bigger battery is recommended than the stock 3.7v 200mah. What would be the correct battery for the brushless motors? Would a 3.7v 650mah be too big? Thanks.

my brushless setup arrives this week sometime, i've been using these batteries for the moment, https://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=458923 and they're great with the stock motor, will report back as to how they go with the brushless once it arrives.... i get the feeling the the 650mah battery will be a tad big... the turnigy batteries i linked only just fits in the battery tray.... i read a lot of people using hyperion batteries too.... but haven't tried them so can't really comment...

The stock 200mah batteries will not give you enough power to last for more than 1 or 2 minutes. Add to this at less than 50grams all up weight, battery weight does become an issue. It seems as though the 350mah works fine, but your 650mah battery will probably have a severe weight impact on the flight charateristics.

Michael -

If you're getting one of the WOW! Hobbies ready-made brushless CPs, you'll prolly be wanting the Hyperion 240s or the Turbo Ace 300s they recommend. Their conversion is only 6gr heavier than stock; you add that much fixing the broken skids with hot glue or making the music wire skid mod. I don't know how long the NanoTechs will last with the added current draw, but oxide has graciously offered to be a guinea pig for that, so...

If you're getting it elsewhere, then I have no idea what to suggest; there are a number of C05-based brushless upgrade kits out there, many draw a lot more current and/or weigh more than the WOW! Hobbies models.
