Trex 700N and 700N Pro Canopy
Hi,
Wanna ask whether 700N and 700N pro is the same canopy. I have 700N pro while I try to use 700N canopy and it won't fit. Thank you. |

Until you said "... and it won't fit" I would have said they are the same.
What is it about the older 700N canopy that makes it "won't fit" on the 700N Pro frame? |

Hi,
It seems that canopy spacer holds it back. But I don't know since I dont have original ones. I bought only the frame (pod) without canopy. So I ordered one from Fusuno. When it arrived, tried it, found out that it won't fit. Before I'm ordering the original one, just want to know if those canopies are different and cant be excanged each other. Thank you. |

There are only two kinds of 700n, the 700n pro / 700 n l.e. which are wide frames, same heli. And the latest narrow frames 700n dfc which is pretty different and the canopies are different. But ive seen old 700 n with new 700 dfc canopies on them so even being different they will fit with none or very little work.

Agree..I've seen old 700N with Trex 700N DFC canopy that seems fit perfectly. But in my case, the canopy doesn't fit while I don't do anything to it. Don't know why. |

Make sure the posts are mounted in the correct place on the frame.

I've also wanted to put a 700n DFC style canopy on my old, wider 700N. I've seen others do it, some claim there was no issue, but I'm under the assumption that you might have to grind down/shorten the canopy posts to make it work. The actual holes should be in the same spot though.

I belive I just took the rubber bumpers out at the top front of the frame. It is a tight spread over the canopy standoffs, but fits nice once its on. But then mines a Fusuno canopy so it might fit different

Fits perfectly. Had this canopy on my 700 before I did the frame change. The CHP frame made things really tight so I did some trimming til it fit. Using RCBooya mounts in stock location. |

You had me worried for nothing.
I bought a 700 Nitro DFC canopy from Fusuno. It is a perfect fit on my CHP converted frame Logically, that means the same 700 Nitro DFC canopy would fit on an older Align 700 Nitro V1 / V2. I had the 700N V2 frame and an original Align painted canopy when I converted to the CHP frames, and that original Align painted canopy was a perfect fit on the CHP frames. |
