Painting plastic, CF, powder coated aluminum
What if I wanted to paint a lot of materials and have them all look the same?
What is involved in preping the surface of CF and powder coated aluminum? Just sand with a 400 weight sand paper and go? Do I need different types of primers to adhear to the different materials properly? I saw this a while ago and it got me thinking....

red scotchbrite would be a standard way to prep anything you want without tearing it up too bad. 400 grit will work, just lets you burn through edges and that starts problems. i personally use epoxy primer/sealer under everything, promotes adhesion on anything and i use white so my colors are bright without having to spray white as well. Plastic would rather have something like 600 grit or grey/white scotchbrite. it really likes bulldog plastic adhesion promoter, don't even have to sand it which is preferred, plastic roughed up looks fuzzy sprayed, needs primer and sanding to make smooth
I paint all of em,,,,,,, booms, blades, canopies, fins and frames no matter what there made out of.
