Default V450D03 RX2703 Resets in flight...

Hi all,

Last Friday I was flying with this fantastic helicopter and then suddenly during flight: no motor power, no servo movement, basically my heli fell like a flying potato .

After checking the receiver it was blinking slowly in red (no bind), not so much damage...

On the field I restarted the helicopter and rebind again and everything was moving no servo was damage,

Later at home I tested high throttle pumps and the problem appeared again but this time one of the servos went down and started to burn...

My questions are:
Why are these resets happening ?
Could a faulty servo cause these?
Could be a peak in the BEC of the WK ESC ?
Does some has experience this behaviour?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks and happy flying

I have the D03 but I also purchased a D01, same electronics. I was checking out the new D01, did not even have the motor running. While I was working I noticed a strange smell. When I looked up I saw smoke coming from one of the servos. The servo was obviously fried. This was straight out of the box. I replaced the defective servo and now have at least two dozen flights on the D01 without any issues. At least nothing that was not pilot error. So, you can most definitely get a defective Walkera servo. I can't say for sure but I would be willing to bet that if you have a servo smoking, the rest of the electronics would be affected. I thing you have a bad servo and that is causing the rest of your problems. Replace the servo and run some test flights with it until you are confident the issue is fixed. Now I also had some issues with the D03. One time on takeoff, it just did a loop and slammed into the dirt. I was trying to fly straight and level. Another time, the thing started going crazy in the air and I knew it was going down so I hit throttle hold about ten feet off the ground. After examining the damage, I could tell that it went in under power. I replaced the receiver on the D03 and all has been good for quite a few flights. My point is that Walkera electronics are not the best. I still think you just got a bad servo. I hope this helps.

This should be a servo issue. When a servo binds, the current to servo increase a lot and voltage to the receiver will drop , which could cause the receiver reset.
