Default Anyone using MKS or Outrage servos?

Hi just wondering if anyone is using MKS or Outrage BL servos?

I had to space my servos by about 2 x metal plates thick to stop the servos from touching each other.

I was thinkin of putting the carbon arm on the inside of the 2 front cyclic servos and using the ball on possibly the inside to see if that will help geometry.

The rear servo I am not sure about yet but shouldn't be too hard.

Just wondering what others were doing??

Hi all got it sorted out.

I managed to get the spacing just right. The synergy E7 is the only (besides logo600) setup I have ever had on vbar that has 0 points trim, 0 ponts swash level and 0 points needed at top and bottom stick . I would say I got the geometry for vbar is perfect.

-I used the carbon horn behind the plastic horn on all 3 servos.
-ball facing the front.

-1 x carbon spacer from Trex600/700 (2-3 synergy metal servo plates) on the front 2 cyclics and none on the back cyclic servo.

-Used the setting in the manual for the servo linkage.

I also out the nuts on the back closest the servo and used the dremel just to take the end of the bolts so they don't foul the servo.

+1 - The head geometry is perfect for the MicroBeast as well.

The actual ball spacing on the carbon arm is a little too far for vbar as I am pretty well at the top of the limits in vbar. I will try it but might need to run some other servo horns that are a little shorter.

You want to be around 90 to 110 on the Vbar setup graphs. That's the sweet spot for most servos and the Vbar control loop. Shorter arms would not be desirable unless you are way over 100.

Thanks for information. I have about 9 different vbar helis and set many more up. The geometry is probably the worst for vbar control loop on any heli I have seen. I guess it was designed around a different brand of FBL.

The figures are not where I would like them. I am at 110 on collective (about 12.5deg) and maxed on 120 for cyclic (8 deg).

I will source some new servo arms for around 18mm I think. The standard ones I think are about 20mm.

I just checked my E7 vbr file and I am at 97 for 12.5 collective and 105 for 8 cyclic. I believe Matt used Vbar in early development of the E7. I'm pretty sure he used Futaba servos too. I am using Futaba servos. Maybe the MKS servo is slightly different in travel range...In any case, I am very happy with the FBL setup on my E7.

I will see how it goes first. If it is good I will leave it otherwise I will get some BLS HV servos for it.

I am using the torq servos with a spacer behind the aileron and pitch servo's. Everything lined up perfect. I am also using the v-bar and I am not having any interations on the mainshaft at all.

What sero horn and ball distance?

I am having issues being on the limits of vbar which will need me to go a couple of mm in on the ball to get it in the right range.

I used the small futaba wheel with the carbon servo wheels in the kit. Be careful, I had to find a way where the screws for the carbon rods do not scratch up the servo.

I have also done this but the ball spacing puts the vbar at the very top of it's limits.

I can't remember which on but I dialed the cyclic ring back to 80 or 75 in the swash menu.

Sorry I have had a brain fade.

I need to go out for more throw.

Maybe some longer balls on the swash would do the trick?
