Bob,

Last week I bought the TP 1010C and the 210 balancer. The instruction manuals that came with them, left a lot of unanswered questions. Your videos have let me understand the instructions and I now feel confident to use them. Thank you for taking the time to help us all. Your Trex videos are great too. Manufactors should make videos such as yours, and include them with each model. I bet their sales would double.

Thans again,

James

I'm amost certain that Aligns sales of 450s and 600s has more than doubled as a result of Bob's vids. The president of Align should take note! Its not too late for a nice Christmas present or at least a well deserved THANKS!

Great videos Bob..!!!

Question does anyone sell connectors or adaptors for the Align 4400mah 6c2p packs to hook them to the TP 210v ? I got one pack in a bundle deal with my 600CF.

Keep up the good video work .

Hope you get a chance to do one on setting up the
Logictech 6100T Gyro system with the 600CF. I saw the unofficial one here. Well they just can't match you as far as instructional videos but it was a good effort.

Keep the camera rollen as your videos are extreamily helpfull..

I bought a 25 AMP switching power supply from Radio Shack and can run (2)-1010's on it no problem
http://www.radioshack.com/product/in...ductId=2103961

If you want to update the firmware you will need the cable. I have not as of yet.

How many AMPS do you want to charge at?

I wanted to be able to charge 2 packs at 6 amps which means I pull more than 12 amps out of the wall.

I have a question about the charge output cable that is not included with the charger. I plan on useing FP 4900 6S1P and TPX 5000 6S1P batteries. What charge cable will I need? Will I need one for each battery or are the connections the same for both?
Thanks for the videos Bob, very very useful, All my headaches are gone

One side banana plugs, other side whatever you put on your battery's: Deans, goldplugs......
Balancing wires/connectors are the same on TP and FP.

Hey guys, switchers are not like that. If you are drawing, lets say 6A on the output of a switchmode ps that is set to 12VDC, then that is 72 watts.

(P=E*I) (12*6=72)

So, on a switchmode (not linear) the input power will be 72W + the inefficiencies, lets say it is 85% efficient. that adds another 10W of internal dissipation. So that means the input to the PS is consuming 82W of power.

(I=P/E) (82/120=0.683)

Since you are running from 120VAC and the input power is 82W, that means that the input current (from the AC outlet) is ~683mA.

Now on a linear power supply, the input current is always slighty higher than the output current.

Thats why switchers are so much better. You do not have all the losses of a linear. Switchers do have their drawbacks, but for our purpose, we dont care.

Thanks barnowl, I realized how my question sounded after I asked it, DUH. I was looking to find one already made, because I hadn't seen them until today when I spotted them at Grand RC. Ready made with deans ultra plugs attached.

Default Align battery adapter

I apologize if this question has been asked & answered already. Is there an adapter to use the TP210V on Align 3s1p batteries? I notice Bob gave a link to an adapter for an Align 6s2p battery. Will this adapter work on the 3s1p packs also? BTW - Thanks for all the videos Bob. They have been an indispensable help!

Big batteries seem easy now. Thanks Bob.

How about charging the little Align 7.4V 1100mAh/9C for the BEC??? I now have an adapter, to plug the battery into the TP 1010, but there is no balancer plug.

OK.. 7.4v @ 1.1 amp.... Is this a two cell I guess... I just don't want to fry the bugger and burn my house down. Do I just plug it in with these settings, or is there something else I need to do??? :?
