TREX450 tail wag!

Just installed a 3gx in my 450. Wow the tail wags on left rudder piro. Any suggestions.....??????

Make sure you are setup on the "small" heli in the 3gx software. Being on the large setting can cause the tail wag. Also your gain may be too high.

I still havethe problem. Version 5.0 setup for small heli. No binding in tail, using carbon tail control rod. Does an older version work better?

For V5.0 you have to set the rudder up in rate mode.

Flick into rate mode mode from Heading hold mode in a hover - if the tail rotates fast - you need to adjust the length of push rod a few turns. Redo tail DIR setup.

Keep repeating above until there is no turning of tail in rate mode.

I found the tail very poor performance on V5.0 until I spent time to set it up in rate mode.

Now the tail is best of of all 3gx versions.

Also set rudder up with zero delay setting using pc software.
