This might help
Hi John,
Would you settle for a 'sort of' answer? I'm a BIG Beam Fan...but haven't pulled the trigger on anything BEAM lately. Good luck with your build. Your timing was good. I was asking a question similar to yours...and found a good tutorial about things you might want to think through when choosing a motor. In this tread, entry number 4, you'll find a good video on matching motors to ESCs to batteries. https://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=759861 Take a look at that ...then do a search on 'what is kv' on YouTube. You'll find theoretical help there. Otherwise, once you know what your battery set up will be, and whether you are doing sport flying or hard 3D...the old standard motor companies will have a good assortment of motors to start your search for the E5 sized heli. Good luck on your build. If possible, let us know where you got the Beam and how the build, flights, etc went. OP |
