Default my canopies

I think this is a great idea! I'll get the party started.

I've been painting for a couple of months now and this is what I've done so far in the order I completed them.

They are slightly tweaked copies of canomod's. I got tired of the crappy quality especially the thin, uneven, orange peeled clearcloats I kept getting from them.

United737pilot,
Where did you get the 700 white Canopy that is longer than the stock canopy?

123mvd321,
I like how you did the windshield. That looks great.

Default helidirect

Helidirect.com has them for $29. They don't seem to stay in-stock for long though.

Thanks for the compliment. That is definately the hardest part of that scheme. I layered on yellow in stripes so some stripes were darker yellow than others. Then did the same with orange over the yellow making sure to leave some yellow striping visible. Then finally just some red stripes with red around the edges. It's hard to see in the picture because the way it is degraded to 600X800 pixels for helifreaks server.

In person you can really see the variation in colors and they are much brighter. It is my favorite canopy for sure.

Dang! After seeing all of these I feel that "I'm not worthy"
Painted this last night. Krylon spray paint, masking tape, an old grocery store receipt and an Exacto knife did it all. This is my first attempt. I know now what I did wrong and will make my next one better.

here is my very first canopy. It is for a Raptor 50. it looks kind of like a fishing lure but I can live with it.

I'm going to get it clear coated on Monday.

I've only been airbrusing for a week so I will get better! Hopefully one day I can paint a canopy like some of you guys.

Not really a "paint" job, but more like an "ink" job. This is what a few hours and a sharpie produce.
