I would love to know an approximate date - I'm thinking seriously about getting a new 450 / 360 / 380 size heli, and I'd love to know how long I would have to wait for a new Mini Protos.

I love the reports about the Maxx V2 and a Mini version would be fantastic

There's definitely stuff happening, but it could be coming in 2016, 2017 or even 2018.
MSH won't give a date until they are ready to release, as with the MAX V2 release.

I really doubt it coming after 2017 except if they aren't working on it now.

If you want something now, get the KDS Chase. It's awesome, I think only at the cost of a little more weight and ad-hoc part support (plus slightly tricky builds).

Personally I'm hoping for MSH to release a true 500 or even 550, but we'll see

My guess is 550 on this one. I think they want something that can run off half a pack from the Protos max.

Yup, probably, business wise they are bound to make more profit with a 550, then they can have a good reputation for making large helis and encourage people to buy their future (I hope they make some!) smaller helis. Sort of like an opposite of blade.

Whatever you do, don't get that.

Parts quality is GARBAGE. Mine(and most) have the 130x tail vibe on spool up. It flies well, but I got 3:00-3:30 on packs that my Mini gets 4:00-4:30.

No thanks

The only 450 available now, other than my MiniP, that I would consider would be a JR Forza EX. The rest just do not interest me.

I have been wanting to try the Chase 360 for quite awhile because of the design. I don't think I would trade my Mini P for it but I would love to give it a shot.

I think they fixed the worst vibes in the latest kits, but granted the tail design is still finicky. The mini-p is quite a bit lighter than the Chase so that makes sense, but the Chase was designed for 360-380 blades while the mini-P 325-360.

Whatever. I've never tried the mini-P so can't really compare.

I found the carbon tail boom caused the tail resonance on spool up problem. Upgraded the boom with a Protos 500 boom trimmed down and smooth as silk. Don't have a mini Protos, but wish I got one instead of the chase 360. Chase great design let down by weight and parts quality. Hundreds of hours on a P500 and can't wait for next offering. Hoping it's 500 or 550 blade size..!
