Default Torque tube on it's way - Should I wait?

Hello,

I am getting ready to build my MT E325 SE and I also ordered a torque tube conversion kit. How difficult is is to change from belt drive to torque tube once the heli is already built? Should I just wait for the conversion kit to arrive before finishing the tail section?

Thx

Fly it with belt. When you crash and have to repair something bigger, convert to torque tube then.
1) makes things easier
2) you will be able to compare what is better

That's what i would do anyway...

Changing means you will have to tear everything apart. You can obviously keep blade holders and stuff assembled (no big deal in this since you will have to replace shaft anyway).

I don't think you'll get much respond on this. Most of the MT owners stick with the belt. It's been working find with both of my MTs. One has over 250 flights with the same belt.

I'd like to try the torque tube, but as a $50 upgrade it'll have to wait ... I just like the idea of a drive shaft versus a belt. Not dissin' the belt at all

KouDy,

I will follow your suggestion. I will just assemble the bird and keep the conversion kit for later.

Thx
