thanks, expensive considering that the stock canopy is fragile to begin with and you are not really changing anything but the paint, one crash, and there goes $30 down the pipe.Yikes!

This canopy is actually stiffer than the stock one. Its not all flimsy. I crashed twice so far with it and no problems. TNT will say the same thing. I think he ran it into his house and didnt even scratch the paint. But I love them and thats all that counts.

Here is my Scale contribution. Was trying to have it at IRCHA so I could fly in the Scale section...maybe next year I get about 1 1/2 minutes on a Hobby City battery before the power starts to fade & I have to set it down. Adapted the foam of the box to accommodate it with a Weller soldering gun and the flat blades. I'll post the video from it's maiden flight in the video section, Andy

Is it me or the LG is a bit off-centered? Nice touch on the battery holder. On my conversion I thought about using the two "side-cars" as battery holders and disgise the lipos as furniture |

How does the alu tail boom hold in crashes? Did you try a solid carbon rod to compare?

Other than the longer boom and the trimmed canopy and tail fin, it is stock. I'm waiting for a MH swash and maybe thinking about going brushless. Maybe.

Here's mine:
Rakon head, frame, tail-boom support, fin, and TDR-style skids. And an MIA Edge canopy to top it off. Soon to be brushless!

What did you use to paint the blades? I tried it and added WAY too much weight. I am sure I could have done a better job but I'm curious what you did and how much weight it added.

You can still see the line work under the paint Probably a coat or 2 too many..but it flies good, may redo them again once they begin to chip.
