Default Newbie build, more questions, help please

This may be a dumb question, but I'm stumped. I'm assembling my Shogun and using an HS-55 for my collective servo. Finally got it mounted where I think it goes, but it looks like there is no way the collective pushrod is going to reach the servo arm w/out bending it a lot. The servo seems to be mounted too far behind the collective push rod. My servo is mounted like in the pictures...the ass end of it is sticking out the right side of the frame, wheel on the bottom. So if you're looking in from the left side, where the collective pushrod is closer to, you see the "top" of the servo, wheel on the bottom. Is that right? What am I missing that is making the collective pushrod not reach the servo?
Second question: Will it REALLY matter than I'm not using a "micro" RX? I'm using my JR R770. I like it's performance and it seems like it's gonna fit so far. Is it just a weight issue that they mention a "micro" RX? Thanks in advance for your help.

You can either use spacers to move the servo out a bit (I used some dubro quick connectors meant for airplanes, it worked pretty good) or you can flip the collective control lever over. Just a couple of screws involved in doing that. I belive a HS-56 fits in there without having to change anything.

I use a JR R700 reciever. Any weight added to the heli will reduce it's performance. I fly mine with that reciever and it's okay, but I'm sure that coupled with the (now toast) 1500 LiPoly added a bit of unneeded weight When I rebuild I will be using a micro Rx and some 1320 LiPoly packs to see if it makes a big difference.
