these things don't like a lot of wind!! was doing flips was going great then it got too high, wind took it away. lost a nano same way last week. so was determined to find it, found it in fence row 2 houses down by hitting throttle and listening for it. some times you win some times you lose!!

Did this happen during mid-day hours per chance?....This is one of the reasons I seldom fly at any time other than evening, night or early morning. There's usually always upper winds during the daytime. If I do fly at that time, I always keep it low. Taking it up high during the broad daylight hours is just asking for trouble - even if it's dead calm at ground level.

Light orientaion
I agree with the other posters. I fly before sunrise or after sunset. I just strapped with camera velcro the $1 reading light which really helps in the after sunset flights.

I always make sure I fly in high rate mode, max bank angle control and no expo and all at 100% . That way you have max control against the wind. I lost my first 180qx being too high and being in low rate mode, it that mode with wind the quad flys like a kite...
