Default Is it OK to put your heli settings in your TX before you bind if to your heli?

I have a DX6i and i am going to be getting a new B450 3D again. And to save some time when i get my B450 i was thinking of putting the heli's setting in my TX now. So when i get it i just have to bind it and fly it. Is that a good idea? Or should i allways bind my heli first, Then do the setup?

It's fine to have the Tx setup prior to binding. Think about replacing or upgrading a receiver in a bird you're already flying, you would bind the new receiver with the existing model in the transmitter.

Default First time Radio and receiver binding

There should be No Problem. Realize that sometimes "Re-binding" may have to be performed on Aircraft if the receiver and radio have lost their link for whatever reason.
I hope this is of some small help.
Regards

pretty sure the Blade manual specifically says to program the TX first.

I usually put the main settings in the Tx, then set up the heli mechanically the way I want it then rebind just to make sure the failsafes are set properly & then go fly & tweek if needed until you get it how you like it. Drev.

EXACTLY. Last step after everything is zero your T curve then rebind to set zero throttle in FS then reset your T Curve to linear or how ever it was before and fly the machine. If it needs tweaking go ahead and tweak it as you already know unless you rebind again the FS throttle is set for zero throttle.

If you fly you are going to crash.

That seems like a better way to do it. I will just wait to get my heli then. I will just bind it on a new heli model since every thing will be centered and what not, Then i will set up my TX then re-bind and fly. I allways like to bind 2 times to make sure my fail safe is working like it should.

To the op. Sounds like you will have no problems but you may have to:
A) Check subtrims
B) Maybe program the Esc.
