Default Recommended Solder

I am curious what solder most people use for the bullet connections. The composition of the solder, and the diameter of it. Do you then use the same solder for common wire connections and battery connectors? Just need to make a purchase, and thought someone might have good input for me. Thanks in Advance

I use Kester #44 63/37 and have it in several sizes. The job determines the size needed. 0.031" and 0.040" are good general sizes to start with.

You might want to get a small bottle of solder flux with your purchase. Not a have to have thing though.

For flux I use MG Chem Rosin Flux 835 liquid and a Kester #186 pen. You can also find Rosin flux at Radio Shack. If you go the liquid route a dispenser bottle is very helpful.

Flux is a must, makes soldering EC5 connectors a breeze!

I use this solder, small and quick, seems to bond quicker than most, at least it does to me.

If I did more soldering, I would order larger quantities.

Thanks all for the replies.
In the past I have done a lot of repair work on electronic equipment, was just curious on what size solder most were using, and if technology had created a new "favorite solder"

I will use flux.

Thank you all for your time to respond
