Default Control loss due vibration

I have bumped a link to thread below hoping that someone else might have experienced something similar with Beast X or the AR7200BX to help me get to the bottom of my woes. I experienced an inexplicable control loss with the AR7200BX on a 500EFL that I am 99% confident was not a reception or power issue. I think I might have narrowed it down to a bad motor bearing but I am looking for more insight.

Thanks

What mounting tape are you using? Stock tape wil act up even if your heli is silky smooth sometimes. A bad bearing in the motor is definately a source of hign frequency vibes especially in those kind of RPM. But what did the heli do when you lost control? It went unresponsive to stick movements, sudden drift??

I'm using the stock mounting tape. White 3M foam. AR7200BX is on the top tray which has been secured by small pieces of 9011 tape in the tray rails. At first I noticed the tail wasn't holding in pitch pumps as well as it was before, then I seemed to pretty much lose control of the tail followed shortly after by some cyclic wobbling which got worse until I had no control.

I have contacted Horizon to see what they have to say. I'm not expecting much though.

I'm really hoping it was the high frequency vibes from the motor and not a dud AR7200BX. The toy budget can't afford another immediate disaster!

Firtsly, use some 3M 4010 or 4011 hard tape. I had an almost tip over with the stock tape where the heli in a hover rolled hard to the right and then was recovered back to hover by itself. Scary moment! Whatever the case though, send it back to Horizon to be checked. Its not only crashing, its a safety issue too. I would also check the mechanics on tail and head to ensure smooth operation and that there is no slop of any kind, just to eliminate some factors off the equation.

Thanks, I'll change the tape out for some 4011. I'll see what horizon has to say.

They have very good customer service, probably the best, so if there is a problem, they will change the unit. On a Blade 450x user where the heli totally lost control and crashed, they offered a new AR7200BX and replacement parts needed for free.

Their customer service is one of the reasons I fly Spektrum...
