Red Pulley
What would be the result of running the red pulley at 2000 rpm's or just a little more???

way too much tail speed. It is not recommended because you put a lot of stress on the tail spindle. if you are gearing up to run the heli around those speeds i would change the pulley.

More than likely you will have tail resonance vibes from it spinning to fast.

Red Pulley
Hmmm... Richard - are you saying over 2000 it's a bad idea, or even "at" 2000?
I've run mine a few times right at 2000 and it def sounded different but it flew just fine.

Disregard the last. I just re-read the other link as well. Wouldn't ya know... I was the OP! ;-P
Having said that... I've not had any issues with 742's, 106's and 1450 up to 1850. Been solid throughout.

Hey Josh I expirenced the same thing flying exactly at 2000 rpms, when I first flipped into idle 2 the sound freaked me out for a momet I thought something was wrong. Then I realized it was the headspeed and didn't worry about it but, I did go back to 1950 where I have been flying with the red pulley since day one....

Josh I like the red pulley cause it gives me the option of going back to the larger blades and slower HS, without having to change anything else..
