When's the ETA? Had a mate order one recently and June 2011 was the date.

I would luuvvvv to join you with that. Would make a very nice addition to the fleet but the Minister of War and Finance might have something to say about it

Vas
Yeah Vas, gonna brand it my TDR POD RACER!!!

Well I may be able to get one just a little sooner than that............................... but I don't want to get my hopes up just yet!

My Minister of Finance & Entertainment is not talking to me for the moment, this purchase has been the source of much argument lately, nevermind I am sure she will get over it.......

is a fusuno one mate and fit/finish is quite good. Had to enlarge holes and didn't come with grommits. One hole is a hair off and there is ever so slight imward flex near that mount.Me being picky

I quite like the FES Gaui red/white one but was having a few blanks sent and another being done so thought this would be a good addition

Thanks mate. Just a stupid moment. Was meaning to just practice orientations that flight and had started being silly with some inverted hovers etc,,, flipped her right side up(blades up/skids down) and went to punch out....thumb decided to pull full neg from about 2m up and drove her in,then punched full pos out of reaction whilst flicking hold and watched her climb another 15m pirouetting towards me.

Thought she was a goner but suprised how lucky i was. Skid, looks like the boom twisted in the holders(but has stayed unbent), front TT gears, link, one bent swash lock arm, tail blades.......until the tear down that is.

I use the "triangular" Tr*x 600 skids + pipes on my 550s - whilst I would hate to see you inffect your X5, they are a lot more substantial than the Gaui skids but still not as big as the Al*gn 3D 600 skids

agree totally with you on them.Had them on my very first hurri. Ever since i first cracked a carbon frame,i have become partial to the Gaui ones as yes they will break easier, but also they help absorb some of the impact with that flex and breaking. They could have a tad less flex in them though and a fraction wider would be nice. And besides all that,, the others are nearly 100g heavier... negates all my weight saving ideas LOL
I've yet to weigh the Logo ones to compare.

The way she went in , solid steel blocks could have yelled ouch. Was really suprised not to have cracked frames and driven the rotor head right through it.

BTW,, your supposed be losing the cricket!!!!!!!!!!!!

I bolt myskids on with plastic bolts so they will break very easily - but a "straight down" will pass all of the stress through to the frame as you say. My favourite all time Hurri skids were the 10mm wider orange flexible skids from HeliDirect - very flexible and strong at the same time
