Default Nitro Wiring Pics

Hi guys

As the much anticipated day is approaching I wanted to share my recent wiring pics of my nitro Whiplash.

This way you have an idea where things fit and can prepare your lay out. I have rewired this machine 3 times now to get things where I like them and where they make sense.

The gear you see here:
3 Fut 255HV's
8900G throttle
Fut 251 tail
Western Robotics dual stepdown for throttle and tail.
Vbar - Full size
Switchglow Pro w/ push button
Spektrum votlage meter (heatshrinked no case)
I run a straight 2s 5000 flight pack and get 5 - 10 minute flights.

Pics with battery tray removed!

Enjoy!

Is your battery conected straight to your receiver? Does any one use a switch for the HV setups that we all use now (batt to recever?)..Still trying to gey my head around this.
Cheers.

i use an ar7100 hv receiver with a 2s lipo plugged directly into it. They also come with a switch that I use so far.

I plug directly into the receiver with two receiver plugs for redundancy.

A switch on a nitro is just another part to fail IMHO. Zero need for them!

Okay cool. So is the receiver conection the one that is used to power on/off? I asume that the battery plug is deans/EC3/whatever, and converts to dual futaba plugs thru a conversion lead, and then into recevier. Like this maybe?

http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...to-Male-Futaba

Would it be wiser to make/brake the circuit at the battery end as the plugs are beeifier?

Thanks for helping.

Exactly! Keep it simple..

I plug and unplug the ec3 connector between the battery and the dual reciver plug harness I make up (like the one you showed). Plugs in just like an electric when your ready to fly.
