Default Syil Mill

Does anyone have one of their machines, does it work good, do you like it, and are they a good company? http://www.syilamerica.com/index.asp They don't look to be too expensive and look alittle bigger then the Sherline mills. Just interested in getting something new for the hobby room.

Not familiar with the company. The mill is the new Sieg CNC mills. You can also buy them from www.LittleMachineShop.com (a super place to deal with) and harbor freight. On the HF site just search on Sieg and the 2 CNC machines will come up.

I don't own one but they've gotten pretty good reviews on cnczone.com.

Harbor Frieght is going to have a similar sized CNC mill based on the SIEG platform that looks pretty good, and will be plug/play with Mach3, plug in parallel port and run it. It also claims to have a closed loop DC motor which means you could do tapping/threading operations with it.

After further review. I have recently came accross Tormach's and they are located 30-40 minutes away from my house. Plus they look to be pretty high on the quality and customer service. I think they are the ones that get my money...
Thanks for the input.

Tormachs are great machines, if you can afford it, man you are in great shape. They are not cheap....
