Default Stratus/Fury electric motor mount

If anyone has one of these laying around, please let me know! Or, if you can get ahold of the drawings or better yet make a few of them on a CNC machine, let me know. There are a few people that would like to do this conversion.

Thanks!

Yes Norman on here had M/A make some mounts that were raised in the middle. It gave more clearance
for packs and shortened the distance between the motor and the pinion adaptor. We toyed with doing that with the original but all ready had material and were tooled up for the mount Mike and i made.
Something like this..

I'm looking to get 5 of these made. I know it's a small amount for all the work needed to do it, but there are people out there that want to convert.

If it's the raised mount - I'd be interested in 2 or 3.

I've started designing my own mount. Its a raised design and will be offered in two versions depending on the motor bolt size and pattern.

1. M4x30 and M4x25 bolt patterns for the later 4035 motors
2. M3x25 for X-era and earlier 4035's

I should be ready to cut the first prototype in about a month. All the machining will be done on my own CNC equipment so if you guys are interested at that point in time I could offer these in a couple months with no minimum order. They will be made of 6061 aluminum but would not be anodized.

I will keep you guys posted and will post pics of the prototype when its done.

I wouldn't mind a couple myself for the Stratus and the Tempest.

Good to see these helis still have an interest and use. I have mine sitting to my right, waiting to be put back together after replacing some bearings. She hasn't been flown in a while though. Life happens, lol.

I fly my E-Stratus at least once a week. It's become my "old reliable" and my absolute favorite ship! The Fury-E is still flybarred, and it's nice to fly and see the comparison between the two birds. Thanks again for all your work and documentation Norman!

They should be available in a few weeks. This weekend I completed the jig to hold the piece since it has to be machined top bottom and drilled on the side. I have a few modifications to make to that jig which should be completed by the end of this week. Once that's done it I'll cut the first piece and work out any kinks in the program.

Initially I was going to make multiple versions of the mount to accommodate different bolt patterns but I was able to design it to fit all bolt patters of motors this size in one mount.

The part would fit the following bolt patterns:

1. M4x30 and M4x25 bolt patterns for the later 4035 motors
2. M3x25 for X-era and earlier 4035's

I would have liked it to be ready by the last week in September but its going to be a couple weeks past that.
