Great vids ! as always
maybe something worth mentioning in step J and K is the position of the head important ?
like 90 degree from the boom ?

For step J the blades should be parallel to the boom. For K the position doesn't matter. If you have done the previous steps correctly, the min and max pitch degrees should be the same regardless of head position.

Just to say to Helico-pteron thanks for the thread and to Nex for the great videos. Just got one of those new Spektrum Receiver/Beast combos and it helped me understand the setup a lot - its the same basically - you just get a built in 7 channel Spektrum DSMX receiver too. Cheers guys

Hey Rob,

Just went through the videos last night. Thanks so much for this great resource. Setup makes so much more sense now that you have explained it. You even answered my question about skipping through the setup points in your final video - absolutely perfect!

Excellent videos Nexgen and Ivan!
As a curious noob, these were done on V2 correct? Is there anything majorly different in V3 that warrants updated videos?

On step G, toward the end where you are setting zero pitch with a screwdriver or long rod, are you just eyeballing the screwdiver next to the shaft? I know a lot of people use a gauge here, but I like the idea of setting zero pitch relative to the shaft this way because it's very quick and easy. Is the accuracy ok using this method?

I sometimes use a long allen wrench and eyeball it down the middle of the shaft. It's very easy to tell if there is pitch in either direction.

when you setup your beastx v2 do you set it up in idle up with 0 pitch like you would do flybarred? seems like you would have to to set your full positive and negative pitch.

Yes, but the mb takes care of 0° for you so you don't have to mess with your pitch curve to find 0° :-)

No prob this kinda stuff is always relevant. After a brief hiatus, I am back in the heli dungeon, and it is nice to revisit some of this as a refresher.

Default Micro beast problems giving Migraine

I understand that its very easy for some of you to do the basics like wire installation into the futaba receiver,But I bought my goblin used with a beast x and it did not come with a manuel,And im fairly new to flybarless helis.I believe that I hooked all the wires up right but when I hold the botton down for over three seconds to start going through the process,It does not come up to A? Im lost, I know my rec. is bound cause I can spool up my scorpion motor.
This Micro beast was used by a previous owner with specktrum and I want to erase everything on it and start fresh.I read that if you hold down the botton for over 10 seconds then it would delete all previous settings but this seems to do nothing
Any help would be greatly appreciated and be patient because this is my first flybarless,Well second because I tried hooking up the
hc3sx and I got half way through and gave up.I want to learn the MB before I attempt my hellicommand. So basically im wondering how to troubleshot and see if I have my wires hooked up right and figure out how to get to point A and I believe I can figure it out from there. Thanks
