Default Align 600MX Motor Case to Motor Shaft Contiuity???

I have two RCM-BL600MX motors.
One motor has an electrical short, from case to shaft, and the other motor has an electrical open, from case to shaft.

Can someone tell me what the continuity between the Motor Case and Motor Shaft should be?

I think it is normal to show continuity between the motor case and motor shaft. What you dont want is continuity between any of the three motor wires and the shaft. Check all three and if it is shows 0 continuity then it is alright, if it shows continuity then there is a short in the motor and needs repair.

Btw mine also shows continuity between the motor shaft and motor case.

Thanks for the reply!

There is no continuity between the motor wires and the motor shaft.

Looks like the motor, with no shaft/case continuity is bad.
Here's a little background, on that motor, as to why I'm inspecting them:

Two weekends ago, while attempting an Auto Bailout, the motor failed to spool up.
The Heli landed in some tail grass, no crash damage.
While the Heli was still powered, I sat it down, I cycled the throttle hold switch.
The motor still failed to respond. I inspected all the electrical connections and found nothing wrong.
It was my last flight pack for the day, and I did not fly again until the next weekend.

When I went to fly the Heli again, upon plugging in the flight pack, the ESC let out the magic smoke.

So, either the motor caused the ESC to Short, or the ESC shorting out damaged the motor.

If it is a Castle, that is something to look at... bad reputation you know what I mean

But I had a similar case with mine where it failed to start or it would start-stop after 2 seconds and repeat. Went to disconnect the motor wires only to find that minor pulling revieled broken motor wires. The motor cables are basically an extension of the windings, which means that they are fragile. I would sugest to inspect the cables carefully (the insulation on them is really loose and comes back to original shape if you pull it back).
