Default Balance lead length

Hi guys, I don't know if this has been asked before, couldn't find anything doing a search, so bear with me.
DPL8, 24v 1800w system.
I made some 12" balance leads to get the packs off of the deck, but they are still pretty close to the case charging on the bench.
How long could I make the balance leads to get the packs a little further away from the case. I'm using 20awg right now.
Thanks in advance

On my Dual PowerLab 8x2 I have been using 24" balance leads for years without issue. Revo makes a 36" extension so that length is not an issue.

I made up a 30" with 4 splits and don't have any problems. I also did the same with my charging lead.

Thanks for the help guys. Didn't know Revo sold extensions that long.

The main leads should always try to keep as short as possible.
