Default TGY-306G-HV Turnigy Servos Query

Hi guys,

I bought 5 TGY-306G-HV Turnigy Servos to replace my crappy Align ones, on a T-Rex 450PRO DFC. I know already that before use them I have to do a small MOD, which is insulating the internal bottom of the servo aluminium case from the control board.
So, the questions are:
1. Where can I find spare plastic servo arms? Does anyone tried hard 3D on the suggested ones? I know Hobby King has them, but people measured 12.5 mm center to center of last hole. And it is currently out of stock.
2. Where can I find a metal replacement gear for it? I saw that tarot has it. Any other option?
3. Any other MOD to make it better or more efficient before using it?
All comments / suggestions are very welcomed.
Thanks dudes!

I am using these on a gaui x3 and they are awesome. Do the electric tape mod and fly them. They will handle anything you throw at them. If you have the HV ones and run at higher voltage they are very fast and strong.

I hate to say it but it's true... Just fly man, they will perform

The KST gears and arms work on the TGY stuff. I push on mine pretty good and they have been holding up great!

Just a recommendation electrical tape will work. It however wasn't designed to be integrated with electronics. It was designed to be wrapped around wires. There are many traits about electrical tape that it wouldn't be on my list of things to use.

Buy yourself a roll of kapton tape. Use that instead that is my recommendation as an EE. But its just my opinion, that and a nickel might get you a stick of gum

Just bought from eBay for AUD$1.79. It is 10mm wide and 33m long. What a great deal! The seller is ceedlim.

I will have a look to the other stuff from Aloft as well. Any recommendation of an Australian store?

Thanks guys for your tips / recommendations. Please ideas keep coming

I recommend those breakable servo arms. They will never break in flight, but will always save your servo gears. My gears are as smooth as butter after a couple crashes with the breakable arms. I highly recommend getting them. A buddy of mine just broke off the whole output shaft on the servo after a crash, but was using the stock arms.

Ebay has them

Thanks for the kapton tip I ordered some as well. Since I'm about to undergo the same procedure. Turns out I can use that for when I build engine harnesses as well.

Aren't they too short for T-Rex 450 PRO? That's what I've read at Hobby King website. They said the ball has to be installed on the last hole and even though some guys said these servos are too short. What did you find about it?

might not pass the EE sniff test, but a small bit of electrical tape has served me well to insulate things.

The last hole is the one u want to use.(the other holes are too small) They work perfect for the 3 FBL systems ive used. Sk540, Beastx, and Zyx. I also use these on my hs-5065's and the horns have saved these gears a couple times as well.

I haven't stripped a servo gear since Its a no brainer for me.

Hey, just bought these ones from eBay. This seller offers the lowest price of the same arms.
Let's see how long they are going to take to arrive here in Australia.
Thanks

Those ones are flexible as all hell. I used them in a build and then threw them away as they are useless.

A 450 build. I moved the swash by hand and they would flex before the servo moved.
They may save your servos in a crash but they are pointless if they don't accurately transfer the servo movements to the swash during flight.
To be crude, I wouldn't wipe my backside with them.
