Default Anyone setup a 450X on a DX6 (Not DX6i)

Hey All,

I'm guessing the DX6 has been out long enough now that people have setup the 450X on one by now?

I just bought the DX6, havent even recieved it yet, but I wanted to get a head start..

Anyway, I have a mCX2, 200 SRX, 180 CFX and a 450X, that will all need to be setup on the DX6.

I am curre tky using a DX6i.

Thanks,

-TheChad

Go here and select "Download DX6 setups". Should find them all in there.

+1 on "therick40pp" advice, excellent for basic setup for your helis and you can tweak them from there.

10-4, I found the 450x BNF, 200 SRX & the 180 CFX..

Did not see anything for the mCX 2.. Any suggestion(s)? Worst case, It came RTF, but I've been using my DX6i to fly it..

Thanks!

I suggest you setup some of your smaller helis (if not all of them) from scratch, following the respective heli manuals, instead of downloading the pre-cooked setups.

You'll learn your radio and get to know how things work.

Actually, that's what you did with your DX6i...

I have the DX6 in hand now, this thing has all kinds of additional settings that the DX6i didn't have!

I am sure I can/will figure them all out. Just a little overwhelming at first glance lol.

For the 450x it's ideal you setup from scratch.
Main points to program for
0pitch at mid stick in all flight modes

Same positive and negative pitch scale i.e 10+/-10 pitch
Should be 120degree 3servo ccpm mixing.

Look up the gyro stabilization setup info, I've never fired one of those fancy Rx's up yet. Gettin that tail locked in might be experimental but everyone tells me it's pretty easy compared to standalone gyro setups

Oh, no no...

No CCPM mixing on FBL helis...

On the TX the swash should be setup as "Normal" or "1servo90“ whatever the name is in the TX.

Thank you for correcting me, I just got acquainted with the fbl systems as I just came back to the hobby. The setup seems so easy. Getting ready to maiden mine tonight and tweak. I'm hoping it's like everyone says and it just gets up stable. I've had a few hairy maidens with the 400. Don't want that headache.

Everything went well. dx6 + blade 450x.
very touchy even with 25% expo and stock normal throttle. i had zero tail issues dont even think i moved it.

should i turn my dual rates down for learning? thinking about trying 85% dr and 10 expo
